Progress you can feel

Based in Ho Chi Minh City since 2007, Ha Noi since 2012 and Da Nang since 2015, Audi Vietnam continues to deliver progress you can feel. When Audi Ho Chi Minh City started in 2008, the first Audi Terminal’s progressive architecture reflected the emergence of Ho Chi Minh City as a modern and forward-looking metropolis, perfectly combining the efficiency, performance, luxury and environmental themes for which the Audi brand is appreciated. Worldwide, and in Vietnam, Audi offers customers the very latest in urban mobility, providing sustainable and enjoyable ways to move in and out of the city.

For Audi Vietnam, the faster cities develop, the more valuable heritage preservation becomes. Thus, the opening of Audi Tan Binh offers Audi customers the most modern and efficient environment, yet it also retains the original industrial look and shape of the building in which it is housed. Audi’s sponsoring of Alexandre Garel’s photographic tribute “Saigon” to Saigon’s amazing Modernist architecture - on display at Audi Tan Binh - illustrates perfectly progress you can feel and the importance of heritage to preserve for the future.

Worldwide, Audi delivered 1,680,512 cars to customers in 2021 (2020: 1,692,773)

Despite the semiconductor bottlenecks, the Audi brand’s deliveries in 2021 were close to 2020. Yet, in 2021, AUDI AG doubled the number of fully electric models in its range. Confirming the company’s move toward electromobility, Audi delivered 81,894 fully electric vehicles to customers, a 57.5 percent growth over 2020 (52,011). The Audi e-tron GT quattro, with 6,896 units sold, represented a major contributor.

Deliveries of battery electric vehicles increased by 66.2 percent

In the first quarter of 2022, Audi delivered 385,084 cars to customers, compared with 462,828 in the above-average same quarter last year. In the wake of supply shortages and renewed COVID-19 lockdowns in China, the group cannot fully meet the sustained high demand for Audi brand vehicles. At the same time, Audi increased deliveries of its battery electric models (BEV) by 66.2 percent to 24,236 vehicles (Q1 2021: 14,583).

Audi Vietnam steady growth

While the overall passenger cars sales in Vietnam remained stable reaching about 314,000 cars in 2020 and 2021, Audi new car deliveries to customers in Vietnam recorded 16% increase in 2021, exceeding pre-pandemic sales level from 2019. The best-seller Audi Q5 grew the most increasing 20 per cent in 2021.

In the first quarter of 2022, Audi Vietnam sales growth continued, increasing 10 per cent over the first quarter of 2021. This sales acceleration is largely due to the record number of 11 new Audi models introduced since two years including the Audi A8L recently launched in Hanoi, renewing completely the full Audi range in Vietnam. Amplifying the growing appreciation of the brand with the four rings in Vietnam, Audi now goes electric by launching the new fully electric Audi e-tron GT at Audi Tan Binh’s inauguration.

Customers can now experience the very exciting new all-electric Audi e-tron GT quattro, and pre-order the upcoming Audi e-tron RS GT. At first glance, these cars are true game changers that are destined to become modern classics.

“Making such investment confirms our confidence in the continued and strong development of Audi business in Vietnam, and our evergrowing commitment to electric vehicles” concludes Laurent Genet, Audi Vietnam official Importer General Director.
