The six new models Audi Vietnam is launching simultanesously at Vietnam Motor Show 2019 include the A6, A7 Sportback, A8L, Q2, Q3 and Q8. All won the top rating five stars at EuroNCAP safety tests in Europe, including the first all-electric SUV Audi e-tron. All new Audi models launched in Vietnam offer systematic digitalization, a dynamic driving experience and space concept that fulfills a wide range of customer requirements. Lightweight design combines optimized metals to ensure solid, safe and agile chassis making Audi cars enjoyable to ride. Compact engines amplify the fuel efficiency.

In addition to the Audi e-tron which is the first fully electrical SUV, the new Audi A6, A7 Sportback, A8L and Q8 are launched at VMS 2019 with an engine fitted to a mild hybrid system to enhance further comfort and efficiency. A belt alternator starter (BAS) works together with a lithium-ion battery with 10 Ah capacity. In combination with the six-cylinder engine, a 48V mild hybrid system is used. For instance if the driver takes his foot off the accelerator between 55 and 160 km/h, the new Audi A6 can coast with the engine switched off – up to 40 seconds. As soon as the driver accelerates again, the BAS starts the engine quickly and smoothly. The 48V system enables the function range of the start-stop mode to be extended up to 22 km/h. During deceleration, the BAS recovers up to 12 kW of energy. In real-world driving, the mild hybrid technology based on 48V reduces fuel consumption by up to 0.7 liters per 100 kilometers. A 12V mild hybrid system is fitted with the four cylinder engine.

The 2.0 liters TFSI engine was awarded “International Engine of the Year 2019” in Germany for engines between 150 and 250 metric horsepower. With a moderate driving style, the 2.0 TFSI combines the efficiency of a small-displacement engine and the dynamics of a large engine at a sporty pace. This same approach applies to the new 1.5 TFSI and 1.0 TFSI engines.

Other Audi progressive highlights VMS 2019 visitors will discover on the new Audi models include HD Matrix LED at the front, OLED light strip animation at the rear, large MMI touch screens with haptic feedback inside, superb design all around and splendid Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound standard on some of the new Audi models. Audi models in Vietnam benefit from three years of warranty with unlimited mileage during that period. For all new Audi models, customers’ deliveries will start at Audi Ho Chi Minh City, Audi Danang and Audi Hanoi around Tet in 2020.
