Ho Chi Minh City, October 25th, 2016 - Whether on off-road adventure or everyday driving in a big city –the Audi Q2 is the all-rounder. Sporty youthful styling packed with state-of-the-art technology, the design award winner Audi Q2 is now open for orders in Vietnam.

Sporty, sharp and edgy, the Q2 shows its muscles. The Audi Q2 combines characteristic SUV features with the agility of a compact sports car. The new polygon design, the blade on the C-pillar and the concave flanks underscore its powerful and edgy look. With broad shoulders and angular styling, it is brimming with energy and confidence. The low roofline and high window line give the sporty car a coupe-like look and a crouching stance on the road. Especially striking are the wedge-shaped headlights, the high position of the Singleframe grille and the generously sized air inlets. The rear body has a taut appearance with a long roof spoiler and a diffuser with an underbody protection look. The Audi Q2 won German Design Council 2016 award in Automotive Brand Contest. Behind the tailgate is a large luggage compartment with lots of space for sports equipment or plenty of shopping items. The power opening and closing tailgate as well as a through-loading facility in the rear bench seat make transport easy and practical for everyday use. Widely-opening doors, the good visibility, 405 liters of luggage capacity and the power tailgate document its high functionality.

Form follows function – in the cockpit too. The driver’s seat position is sporty, but all-round visibility is very good as is typical of an SUV. The color driver information displays easy to read information in the right place .

Offering assistance in critical situations is the standard emergency braking assistant. If a child were to suddenly run into the street, or the car ahead were to brake abruptly to a stop, the Q2 can brake automatically in such situations. The 4.19 meters long SUV is easy to park and exit whether parallel or perpendicular parking spaces.

With short overhangs and nearly 15 cm of ground clearance the Q2 scrambles up slopes effortlessly. The standard progressive steering provides for direct and dynamic handling. The optional Audi drive select dynamic handling system and adaptive damper control make the Audi Q2 even more fun to drive. The engine is paired with a newly developed seven-speed automatic. At lightning speed, the dual-clutch transmission changes gears and offers seamless driving pleasure. Audi Vietnam is launching the Q2 1.4 TFSI engine delivering 110 kW (150 hp) of power output and plenty of torque even at low speed. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds and the Audi Q2 reaches a top speed of 212 km/h Thanks to its cylinder on demand technology, the Audi Q2 1.4 TFSI COD S tronic consumes only 5.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers with CO2 emissions of 119 grams per kilometer.

The Audi Q2 compact SUV rolls off the assembly line at the main Audi plant in Ingolstadt and is launched in Vietnam at Vietnam International Motor Show 2016 (VIMS 2016) in Ho Chi Minh City. The Audi Q2 1.4 TFSI retail price will be announced End 2016 and first deliveries will start after Tet at Audi Danang, Audi Hanoi and Audi Ho Chi Minh City.
