- Noirfoto’s “Silver Lining” photo exhibition opens to the public from June 3rd to 17th at 9 am until 8 pm, the artists talk at 6 pm on June 17th

Noirfoto - “Silver Lining” June 3-17, 2023
The Silver Lining collection comprises over 20 meticulously analog black and white works, this collection has captivated viewers by conveying emotional messages and exhibiting remarkable printing craftsmanship. Hanoi-based Noirfoto, founded in 2016, encapsulates an unwavering belief in the enduring principles of analog black and white photography, employing traditional methods. Preserving classic techniques, such as silver gelatine printing or the exploration of cyanotype printing on silk, underscores their dedication to mastering both materials and printing techniques. Through these efforts, Noirfoto establishes itself as a trailblazer and influencer in the realm of art photography, showcasing their commitment to innovation and making a distinctive impact in the field.

“The Grapevine Selection 2023” Hanoi Grapevine - June 22nd – July 9th, 2023
“The Grapevine Selection 2023” exhibition will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing outstanding works from 16 artists with distinctive artistic styles in the last 2 years to place milestones for the future of long-term art archiving. Hanoi Grapevine was established in 2007 as an independent, not-for-profit online platform with the goal of supporting Vietnamese art by connecting high-quality art spaces, event organisers and artists with the audience. Hanoi Grapevine has been recognised by the British Council in Vietnam as one of pioneering online creative spaces in Vietnam. The exhibition “The Grapevine Selection 2023” initiated by Canadian artist Brian Ring exactly 10 years ago, in 2013.
The Grapevine Selection exhibition is an initiative that is part of Hanoi Grapevine's mission to promote Vietnamese arts and culture both at home and abroad.

Audi Charging Lounge, the art of progress
On April 19th 2023, Audi Vietnam opened in Ho Chi Minh City the first fast premium charging lounge in Vietnam, demonstrating how charging and living with electric can and will look in the future.
Noirfoto - “Silver Lining” photo exhibition inaugurates the Audi Charging Lounge as the latest art destination.
Since 15 years, Audi Vietnam is an active sponsor of art and photography. For instance, in 2012, Morgan Ommer, born in Paris from a Vietnamese mother and a German father, traveled in an Audi A6 the Mekong Delta to take photos of fast disappearing ferry boats to preserve their memory cross the Mekong river in his book „Crossing the Mekong delta“.
In 2013, at the inauguration of Audi Hanoi Terminal, French photographer Olivia Marty exhibited her stylish black and white photographs printed on aluminium sheets.
In 2014, German lecturer Michael Waibel released with Audi Vietnam and the Goethe Institute „Ho Chi Minh MEGACITY‘, a monumental large-format photo book.
In 2015, Audi Vietnam sponsored Michael Waibel‘s „Hanoi: CAPITAL city“ book featuring works from 32 photographers. That book won the Bui Xuan Phai Award from the Vietnam News Agency's Newspaper of Sports & Culture together with the descendants of Vietnamese painter Bui Xuan Phai. In 2016, Audi Vietnam sponsored again Michael Waibel’s „Danang Coastal City“.
In 2020, Audi Vietnam sponsored „Saigon, Portrait of a city“ by French photographer Alexandre Garel in his journey to preserve on paper the hallmarks of Vietnamese architecture. That artistic photo book, created in collaboration with journalist Tim Doling, celebrates Saigon’s Modernist architectural legacies.
