„Central Vietnam premium cars customers can now experience Audi in Danang just like in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to enjoy the most advanced Audi showroom and workshop.“ declares Tran Tan Trung, Audi Vietnam official Dealer General Director.

Highly visible, the iconic new signature of Audi corporate design runs over the thirty five meters wide facade. The new Audi Danang exterior design is an architecture tribute to contemporary design with aluminium honeycomb.

Yoon Han Chin - AUDI AG Regional Architect based in Singapore - who followed the project from design up to completion declares „The Audi Terminal in Singapore received the 'Best Retail Architecture' in Singapore from International Property Awards 2014 and 'Best Retail Store Design', from MIPIM Asia Gold Award in 2013; we followed the same principles and attention to details for the design and construction for Audi Danang. We now made it in Central Vietnam and really appreciate the eye catching and striking outlook of Audi Danang, one of the 400 Audi Terminals worldwide“.

Up to eight Audi cars are displayed in a dynamic way in front of a curve wall background along the street. The plush interior design reinforces the comfortable and progressive feeling Audi customers appreciate aboard their Audi car.

Furniture and interior design elements have been imported from AUDI AG’s selected suppliers worldwide. Audi signage comes from Germany, the aluminium facade from Taiwan, the lights are from Singapore and the Audi specific tiles from premium tiles supplier Fiandre in Italy. In the workshop, the doors came from Germany like most of the workshop tools and equipments.

Diagnostic tools via computers are performed in the direct reception area where seven work bays are dedicated for mechanical check-up, maintenance or repair works.

At the wash bay, Audi cars are cleaned using environment-friendly steam cleaning.

In the warehouse, Audi genuine spare parts and accessories are stored over two floors to ensure availaibility for prompt service at the workshop.

Danang launches the new Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro®

Audi Vietnam is setting new standards with the second generation of the Q7 now available with a 2.0 liters TFSI engine. The great quattro brings innovative solutions in all aspects of its technology – from its lightweight design, drive system and chassis to its infotainment and assistance systems. Its spacious interior is highly configurable and offers luxury-class levels of comfort.

“For Audi Vietnam, Danang is the road to greatness with the launch of the new Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro to open Audi Danang, the new home of the great quattro” declares Laurent Genet Audi Vietnam official importer General Director.

Design and body

The new Audi Q7 has a confident road stance. The sculpted Singleframe grille dominates the front with the daytime running lights forming a distinctive double-arrow pattern in the headlight unit. The Singleframe grill with its bold and gleaming new aluminium-look crossbars comes across broader and lower than it’s the previous Q7.

The LED lights at the front and rear together with dynamic indicators emphasize the powerful look of the great quattro. The trunk lid with standard LED tail lights wraps around the D pillars. Inset moldings with the quattro logo give structure to the lower door areas; the add-on parts follow a new colors and materials concept.

The new Audi Q7 has shed almost 300 kilograms compared with the previous model. Thanks to Audi’s strict adherence to the principle of lightweight design, the curb weight of the base version is kept at slightly over two metric tons (without driver). 71 kilograms was saved in just the body, which incorporates many aluminum parts in keeping with its innovative multiple-material construction principle.

Drive system
The new 2.0 liters petrol engine version is now launched in addition to the already successful V6 engine. The 2.0 TFSI with 185 kW (252 hp) accelerates the seven-seater Q7 from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds while the 3.0 TFSI with 245 kW (333 hp) sprints in just 6.3 seconds. The new Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro's combined fuel consumption is just 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI quattro the combined fuel consumption is 7.9 l liters per 100 kilometers (28% less than the previous Q7 generation). Both engines run very smoothly. The new Q7 features a new, particularly efficient eight-speed tiptronic as standard. It transfers engine power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

Chassis
The handling of the large SUV is agile and comfortable. The electromechanical power steering and versatile Audi drive select system are standard. The vehicle can also be equipped with the optional adaptive air suspension and new optional all-wheel steering system that can turn the rear wheels up to five degrees. The wheel suspensions have also been completely redesigned, and compared with the previous model the chassis is more than 100 kilograms lighter. The vehicle’s center of gravity has been lowered by 50 millimeters primarily by installing the engine lower.

Interior and controls
Despite more compact exterior dimensions than the previous model, the interior of the new Q7 has actually increased in size – it is the most spacious in its segment. The stowage compartments and cup holders are generously dimensioned; for example the door pockets can accommodate 1.5 liters bottles. The interior feels like a luxurious and stylish lounge; it is spacious and light. German Design Council’s at IAA 2015 awarded to the Audi Q7 cockpit the “Best of the Best” in “Interior Premium Brand”.

A broad continuous air vent strip runs across the front of the cockpit in the passenger area. It ensures an optimal interior climate with the 4-zone air conditioning system. Horizontal lines are emphasized by many of the sophisticated two-part trim panels. When it is dark, optional very fine light conductors trace the contours with light. All colors and materials are carefully coordinated. Premium Cricket leather upholstery comes standard. Optional leather packages and a design selection can make the interior even more exclusive.

Flexible use of space
All seven seats are comfortable. Seat back adjustment for the rear seats is standard and the third seat row has a standard folding feature. The all-new Audi Q7 comes with a large highly variable luggage compartment ranging from 295 liters when all seven seats are occupied up to 2,075 liters. A power tailgate is standard, and the loading sill is lower by nearly five centimeters for easier access. Bag hooks, lashing points, a luggage compartment cover, a stainless steel loading sill protector, a reversible mat and a partition net are included for convenience.

Assistance systems
Audi parking system plus with rear view camera is standard in the new Audi Q7 as well as Audi comfort key, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring, anti-theft alarm and start-stop system with regenerative braking systems. For enjoyable driving, the multifunction leather sport steering wheel in 3-spoke design comes with shift paddles. The optional Audi virtual cockpit – its 12.3‑inch TFT display presents high-resolution graphics is supplemented by a head-up display.

Infotainment
The Audi Q7 offers the latest MMI technology Radio Plus with 7” color screen display for ease of operations. The whole MMI control logic is similar to that of a smartphone.

For hi-fi connoisseurs, two optional sound systems are available: one from Bose and one from Bang & Olufsen with up to 1,920 watts of output power and new 3D sound which opens up a new spatial dimension. Up to two Audi tablets can be snapped into place on the backs of the front seats; they serve as a versatile and optional Rear Seat Entertainment system.

The new Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro is available with a choice of 10 body color paints and is fitted with attractive 19 inches cast aluminium alloy-wheels in 5-V-spoke design with 255/55 R19 run-flat tyres.
